USPS Intelligent Mail Barcode Changes (IMb)

Daniel Ziko -

As some of you may be aware CLMS2Web has already implemented some new features regarding the ability to configure your bar code either postnet or Intelligent Mail Barcode (IMb) which requires that you obtain your own USPS Mailer Identification (MID) number.

CLMS2PC was providing a default USPS Mailer Identification (MID) number of “90004270” this number belongs to the Elks Headquarters and will no longer be available for lodges to use as a default. This means that each lodge should apply for their own USPS Mailer (MID) number. Please refer to this link to follow these instructions as described by the USPS to obtain your own number. Reports that will be effected by this in CLMS2PC, if you have “Use Intelligent Barcode Settings – IMB” checked and are using the default number described above. These reports will not print with the default number, instead you will get a message indicating what you need to do to fix the issue.

1. Statements 2. 2 Up Cards 3. 2up Labels with Barcode option checked.

To Fix

1. Uncheck “Use Intelligent Barcode Settings – IMb reverting to a postnet barcode or 2. Follow the application instructions to obtain your own USPS Mailer ID:
