0101 CLMS2PC stops working after an update.

Daniel Ziko -

CLMS2PC stops working after an update. We are finding that this is most often caused by insufficient resources.

Think back to when you installed CLMS2PC. Did you meet all of the pre-requisites? Maybe you went ahead and installed it anyway and it worked, but now even a slight increase in program size causes SQL server to not load. We find that often times, other software running on the PC like Outlook or Word takes substantial resources away from CLMS preventing the database to start.

You can try unloading all of your other software to see if this helps, close outlook, Word and everything else that gets opened when you start Windows. If it does not, you will have to bring your PC up to the required resources and meet the minimum requirements, they re-install CLMS2 if merely adding memory does not solve the problem.

The prerequisites have been made known in the CLMS2 getting Started Guide which has been out since March just prior to the nationwide launch. So after 8 months of migrations, emails and postal mailing, there should not be one Lodge that can say that the requirements for CLMS2 were not made known to them.

On a final note, we are not seeing this issue on PCs that are equipped per the recomendations listed in the Gettinf Started PDF, only the PCs that do not meet the required specifications.
